Freelance Job
Nov 7th, 2007 by Nut
So last week I officially got my first ever freelance job. The timing is horrible: it’s the busiest time of the year at work, it’s National Novel Writing Month (I’ll have to abstain), and I am dedicating a lot of time to this here blog while I build my portfolio and look for another job.
But still, it’s a great feeling. I won’t know until I’m done how much I’m making per hour, but it doesn’t matter (as long as I’m in the $15-20 range). I’ll be proofreading a book in Spanish and then a website that will come with a monthly update, so that’s a fixed, monthly freelance gig too. Not bad!
I can now add a column to my finances that reads: Alternative Income, which is oh so sweet!
