Anyone try this site yet?
It intrigues me the same way Prosper.com did when I first read about it.
The gist: You look up something you would want to borrow or try within your local area and if you find someone who is willing to lend you whatever that “thing” is, you make a deal.
Basically it’s craigslist for renters.
I just looked up a Nintendo Wii in Chicago and got a person a few blocks north who is renting it out for $10 a day.
It’s a new site so they don’t have all cities covered and there isn’t a ton on there yet to rent out, but if you have something you’ve bought and it’s just kind of sitting there, you could make a consistent stream of money off it instead of selling it outright.
Sounds pretty good, no? Add it up to the alternative-income possibilities.
