Rewriting is important, part 2
Nov 22nd, 2007 by Nut
So I wrote about my “perpetual discovery” and eventual incorporation of rewriting as an important step in my writing process.
It’s fun to look at how other writers have completely transformed their words as they rewrite. Check out this 2007 interview from The Paris Review with the late Norman Mailer. A few pages into it there is a page of his with his edits in it. It really isn’t even the same piece of writing anymore.
It’s better.
The Paris Review does this in most of their interviews (all of them) and it’s incredibly helpful.
