Reader Email Makes My Day
May 30th, 2008 by Nut
Last week I got a nice email from a reader that went like this:
I just wanted to email you and let you know I think your blog is great! I just
stumbled across it by clicking the link in a comment you made on MyDollarPlan
(mainly because I was curious about the name “The Writer’s Coin”). Very glad I
clicked my way to your blog - it’s kept me occupied the last couple days :) Keep up
the great work!
A couple things about this:
- It’s awesome: I love hearing from readers and this type of thing is very encouraging. Not only that someone is reading what I write but that they actually take the time to send some nice words my way in the middle of a busy day is very nice. Thank you!
- Pay attention: See how this particular reader found me? Via a comment on another blog. That’s a great tip for other bloggers out there. The other thing worth mentioning is that having a good name for the site is imperative. Writer’s Coin intrigued this reader and it ended up describing the site pretty faithfully, so that was a win-win.
Sometimes it gets tedious to write on this blog. You start to wonder if anyone cares and if it’s worth it or not. LazyMan had something similar happen to him this week but this kind of positive reinforcement is what keeps me going.

Congrats! Don’t those emails make you feel great? Glad to know we have some readers in common!
