Happy Birthday to The Writer’s Coin!

Incredibly enough, today marks one whole year since I started this blog. It’s amazing to go back and see how much the writing has evolved. I often castigate myself for not writing more “serious” stuff (fiction) and how much more time I devote to this blog instead of the other writing, but the writing on here has evolved so that’s good. Check out my first post and you’ll see what I mean.
Anyway, here are some “good” posts from the past year:
- All the Money in the World: A three-part series on what I would do if I had a lot of money.
- The Value of Pictures and Memories: I love taking pictures and it turns out to be a pretty frugal hobby.
- The Lesson Behind Shitty First Drafts: A take-off on Ann Lamott’s essay on writing and editing.
- Rethinking the Buy-and-Hold Strategy: I like this because I reevaluated something I believe in.
- What Scuba Diving Can Teach Us About Money: I love this one.
- Three Things Running Can Teach Us About Personal Finance: This was a guest post but it was a good one.
I wish I had something more illuminating to say, but I’m certainly happy that I’ve made it through a year and that the blog is a lot better than it was when I got started. Hopefully the upcoming year sees more growth, more improvement, and more traffic.
Thanks to all the readers who read and share what they like with others!

Happy Birthday! And thanks for giving me one of your best posts
