31 Days to Building a Better Blog—Day 6
Day 6 of my quest to build a better blog rolls right along. For those of you new to the series, I’m just following ProBlogger’s Guide on a day-to-day basis. Day 5 was about performing an About Page audit.
We are all the way to Day 6 and I’m not sick of this series yet, so let’s hope you aren’t either!
Day 6 means it’s time to Email an Old Reader. This is pretty straightforward: send off a quick email to someone that has been reading your blog from the very beginning. Luckily, I have such a reader (thanks mom!) and I appreciate a complete stranger (kidding about mom) taking the time to actually read my stuff when it was even worse than it is now. So I’ve sent her a quick email basically saying “thank you.”
It’s kind of cool to think of having a reader that has been reading some of your stuff for this long. When I used to look at other blogs’ archives it would overwhelm me that they had so much stuff and had been writing for so long. But it’s only a matter of time and making sure I keep writing a little bit every day. After all, this is how I invest so shouldn’t it be how I write?
