Guest Posts Galore

Today I have no new posts in the pipeline, but instead of that I’ve got two links to a couple of guest posts that I’m really proud of. For one, I worked especially hard on each of them because I was a little nervous about where they were going to be published.

So I wanted to make sure they were as great as they could possibly be.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with guest posts, you offer to write an article for another site. They can approve it or deny it, and it’s really tough to get your stuff into the really good sites. So when I heard I managed to score these two posts, I was incredibly jazzed about it.

The whole submission process actually reminds me of submitting stories to literary magazines. Anyway, on to the posts!

  • User Testing Provides Valuable Feedback @ SideHustleBlogging: Includes one of my favorite tips for bloggers to help make their sites better. I was glad to share this on Jason’s site since he’s helped me a TON since I’ve been blogging. Not only with blogging help but with his great content over at Frugal Dad. Make sure to check his site if you already haven’t, it’s one of the best personal-finance sites around.
  • Blog Carnivals Are Great, Hosting Them is Better @ ProBlogger: This one is also about blogging (and hosting carnivals), and I’m grateful to have a chance to write about this stuff in one of the top blogs around. I mean, this is probably the most respected, well-known blog about blogging that exists. You can imagine how exciting this is for me. I’ve learned a lot from hosting the Comics and Cents carnival, and I wanted to share what I’d learned since I didn’t hear a lot of this stuff being written about anywhere else.

Well, that’s it! In a week I’ve managed to get something I’ve written on the top blogging site in the world and on one of my personal favorite personal-finance sites around.

This, my friends, is what you call a good week.
