Selling Photos on Istockphoto

Anyone out there tried this? I was reading one of those “10 ways to add to you alternative income” type articles and it reminded me of this option. I sometimes use Istockphoto at work and so I though I would take a look at what it takes to be a photographer for them, supplying them with images and collecting some passive income, even if it’s just a little.
So you have to apply and pass a test and then upload three of your best samples in order to be “accepted.” I passed everything except for the samples part. They told me to send three more samples.
So I may not be enough of a photographer to pass their little test.
Has anyone else done this? How much can you make per month? I know it depends on how many people buy your pictures but I’m curious if it’s worth it for someone like me who likes to take pictures but isn’t going to spend hours and hours a day at it.
