Some Perspective
Here’s a comment I got the other day:
Thanks for your review of “Hot, Flat, and Crowded.” I am reading this book along with four others during this work-intense semester and your review helped direct my attention to some important details, and it helped outline some interesting ideas the author is trying to get across.
Two years ago someone taking the time to write in and say something nice about something I wrote would’ve made my day. These days I’m so jaded that it barely registered as a blip in my day.
How sad is that?
