Welcome to The Writer’s Coin! If you’re reading this, you read my recent guest post over at Write to Done.

Here’s the scoop on this site: a lot of it is about personal finance (I try to make it interesting, I swear I do) but a good chunk of it is also about writing, which is my passion in life.

My name is WC and here are some of my favorite posts on writing.

• I did NaNoWriMo a few years ago and that was a game changer. It really taught me a lot of things about writing and about myself.
• My writing routine is pretty much on automatic right now, but if you have any tips or ideas, feel free to share them with me.
• Want to know how I beat writer’s block? By following the time tested advice of the Nike marketing department: Just Do It.
• I like to write by hand, but transcribing can be a real pain. So I’ve toyed around with using voice-recognition software. It’s pretty helpful to read the words aloud as part of the writing process.
• Writing is hard. That’s why you need reminders.
• Bad writing is a peeve of mine. It annoys me and makes you look stupid.
• Here is the book that made me want to be a writer. RIP DFW.
• I’ve had some pretty interesting attempts at creating formulas that give way to better writing. It’s interesting, as is following a step-by-step guide to reach your writing goals.
